The massage with joint mobilisation (MMA) combines the passive mobilisation of the joints with different maneuvers of massage of the soft structures that surround the joint (muscles, tendons, ligaments, and capsules). The joint is mobilised slowly and rhythmically according to its physiological ability and the massage adapts the intensity to the needs of the patient. The amplitude of movement improves according to a reduction in the tension of the soft structures. The most important indications are the original limitation of movements that are chronic, posture, rheumatism, as well as post-operative and post-trauma situations.
